Periodontal disease has been linked to other serious health issues – including heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers, Alzheimer’s, and more. It’s important to treat periodontal disease as soon as possible to ensure that you can continue to live a healthy lifestyle. For patients who have been on a periodontal maintenance program with their dental provider or are experiencing symptoms of gingivitis, a non-invasive treatment adjunct called laser pocket disinfection may be a good fit.

What Is Laser Pocket Disinfection?

It’s a minimally invasive treatment that uses a specially designed dental laser to target and destroy the specific bacteria that can cause inflammation and periodontal disease.
